Karlene
has been on the staff since 1989. She is responsible for Managing the Office,
Maintaining records on personnel, scheduling and directing office projects,
keeping minutes on Staff Meetings and Church Council meetings, checking and
re-supplying office supplies and inventory, Coordinating Church reports and
District and Conference reports, backing up office staff in whatever way they
need and many more responsibilities too numerous to mention on this page! Karlene
is married to Brady. Their daughter is Stacie and their grandson is Emmanual.
Carrie
Andrews has been a member of the First United Methodist since 2002. She is currently
the Director of Outreach and Administrative Assistant for the Filipino Ministry.
She enjoys their Pag-ibig Bible study group. She is passionate about knowing
God more with her friends whose lives inspire her. She worked as a Montessori
teacher most of her life and she still misses the little ones. She is married
to Anthony her high school sweetheart. They are blessed with four girls: Ricca,
Nenita, Ana, Sella.

Debbie has been a member of First Church for nine years, and has been the Children’s Director since February 2004. Debbie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior after the birth of her first child 1995. Debbie has a passion for God’s children and helping them grow spiritually. She is responsible for the planning of all children’s programs from Preschool through 6th grade. She coordinates the children’s Sunday School program and special children’s events throughout the year. Prior to Debbie’s calling into Children’s Ministry her career included event planning in the hotel industry and working as the Communications Secretary in our Church Office. Debbie and her husband Scott have been married for thirteen years and have been blessed with two children, Megan and Christian.
Dick has served in this position since 1999 after retiring in 1996 from Harris/GE with 32 years in the Controls Division’s Marketing Dept, as an Application Engineer and Proposal Manager. He and his wife, Zona Gail, have been members of FUMC since 1966 and will be married for 47 years this coming June, 2006. He is in charge of our large facility, making sure that it is maintained. He coordinates our custodial and night desk staff. He directs projects and events related to the Board of Trustees, overseeing a large budget that helps to maintain the following: church complex, equipment, vans, bus, grounds, our two parsonages, Youth Director’s home, Mission Manor and Counseling Center. In this position Dick is a “member at large” of the Board of Trustees.
Jack Braun serves the church as Membership Secretary. He is responsible for keeping the all of the records pertaining to membership, including maintaining addresses, personal data, attendance at Sunday School, and preparing reports for the church, district, and Florida Annual Conference. Additionally he prepares documentation and certificates for baptism, and many other church activities. Jack, and his wife Pat, came to Florida from the Chicago area in 1959 and joined the church. Jack was employed at the Kennedy Space Center as a motion picture and video cameraman for more that 40 years. Shortly after retiring he joined our church staff.
Pat Braun is the Parish Visitor for the church. She makes initial contact with first time visitors on the day they come be with us. She also visits with those who are receptive to home calls. She tracks visitors attendance and as they become frequent attendees invites them to become part of our fellowship through our Discovering Church Membership program. She also coordinates the hospital visitation, and visits the hospital on a regular basis. Pat and husband Jack joined the church in 1959 and have served in many capacities over the years They have three children and six grandchildren, all living here in Brevard County.
Angelyn was born and raised in upstate New York. After graduating from High School she went to Houghton College for two years before transferring to Belmont University where she graduated with a music degree with an emphasis on music business. After graduation she traveled throughout the Texas area with a group, Primary Focus/Living Proof, that went into elementary schools during the week leading character building program through music and then led contemporary worship experiences in churches on the weekends. Along with her passion for singing, Angelyn has a passion for teaching and educating about nutrition, especially to young girls. Our prayer is that this ministry will take us to a new level in relating to generations to come with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ken Clark Sunday Custodian

Betty Jo has served the church in the area of music since 1995. She is Responsible for most of our music ministry, including children's Choirs, handbells, Chancel Choirs, annual Summer Music Camp and other projects related to music. She also serves as an organist and pianist for our major worship services, weddings and funerals.
Chris
and her family moved to Florida from Ohio during 1991. She resides in West Melbourne
with her husband, Bob, and their two children; Alyssa, 17 and Andy, 15. Chris
began working at First United Methodist Preschool during 1992 as a substitute
teacher and remained on the teaching staff while her children attended the Preschool.
Chris is now the Preschool Director and enjoys working with the children and
their families, the teaching staff and the Church Family. Chris holds a State
of Florida Director Credential for Child Care and Education and is a member
of the United Methodist Association of Preschools. Chris has completed the Child
Development Associate Equivalency program and is certified by the American Safety
and Health Institute in Universal First Aid and Adult/Pediatric CPR and AED.
Chris enjoys spending her free time attending her children's sporting events
and cooking.

Bryant Johnson has served in Youth Ministry for just over 11 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Florida Southern College in Lakeland. He served at Englewood UMC, First United Methodist in Plant City and as a Juvenile Counselor for Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. Bryant is on the Summer Camp Ministries Team which oversees the camp programming at Warren Willis United Methodist Youth Camps. Bryant has been involved in leading worship, writing curriculum, and teaching at various youth ministry training events. Bryant loves basketball, Halo 3, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife, Tonya.

Pam has been on staff since April 2000. She is responsible for the Communications within the church, such as the Sunday bulletin, special bulletins, and the monthly newsletter, The Messenger. Pam is also the Children's Administrative Assistant, assisting Debbi Armison. Pam is married to Rendal Eu"Gene" and they have one son, Spencer. Spencer is a Sergeant) in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He served in Iraq from February to October, 2004. Pam heads up the Eagle's Wings Prayer Ministry. As part of their extended family Gene's daughter Kimberly and her husband Chuck live in Hahira (Valdosta, Georgia) with their children Joshua, Hannah, Sarah, and Leah. Pat
has been on staff since 1997. Pat is usually the first smiling face you see
when you come into the church office. Pat is the Program Secretary and is responsible
for scheduling activities on the church calendar. Among other duties, she coordinates
and maintains the church calendar as well as the church vehicle calendar. Her
husband is Vance. They have two children. Quillan is a senior at West Shore
Jr/Sr High School. Amanda attends Duke University.
Jeanie
Simpson has been Financial Secretary since April 2006. She is responsible for
maintaining the records for all financial activities of the church including
contributions, disbursements, payroll and benefits. She is a member of Wesley
United Methodist Church in West Melbourne where her husband, Bryan, serves
as Pastor. They have two children, Caitlyn and Christopher.
Andrea serves as accompanist for the 8:00 Early Praise and 11:00 Traditional
Worship Services. She has been at FUMC since August 2006 and has previously
served as accompanist/organist/praise team member at Satellite Beach United
Methodist Church for many years. Andrea has also been a substitute church
organist for area churches and is an active accompanist for school and community
events. She is currently the orchestra and choral director at DeLaura Middle
School. Andrea is married to Scott, band director at Mel High, and they have
two daughters - Katy 21, and Melinda 18.
