Youth Ministry

 

JR. High Youth

7th and 8th grades meet every Tuesday night from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Room. This night is designed to encourage fellowship amongst the Youth and get them excited about being involved in the ministry. We gather at 5pm to hangout play games and make announcements about what is coming up. At about 6 p.m. everyone boards a Church van and goes either to the Mall or to a local fast food restaurant for dinner. The students need to bring enough money to buy dinner. From 7:00 -8:00 p.m. Youth participate in a Bible lesson that is designed to get them thinking about God and applying scripture to their lives.

SR. High Youth

9th – 12th grades meet 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday night. This night is an entry point for our high School students to get involved in the youth ministry and to have fellowship with other high school students. There is time to hang out in the Youth Room or the gym. Our dinner runs to a local fast food restaurant or the Food Court in the mall begin at 6:30 p.m. (the students will need to bring enough money to buy their dinner). From 7:30-8:30 p.m. Youth participate in a Bible lesson that is designed to get them thinking about God and applying scripture to their lives.

JIVE (Jesus Is Very Exciting) Team

JIVE meets each Sunday morning, from 9:00 - 9:20 am in the Youth Room. This is a committed time for accountability and prayer. This is a highly focused time for those who desire to go deeper into their walk of faith and want to find encouragement to do so. You are invited to join. See Bryant Johnson to get involved into this team.

Youth Sunday School Classes

Classes meet every Sunday in the Youth Room at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. the 9:30 classes are broken up into two groups; Jr. High and High School. The 11am class is made up of those in both age groups. Please come to whichever best fits your schedule.

S.N.L. = Sunday Night Live

SNL Is each Sunday from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the Youth Center. Each week we come together for dinner, worship and small groups. As you begin coming we encourage you to make a commitment to be here weekly. This will make your small group experience make better as you develop deeper friendships in your group. This school year were taking a deep look in to Community. Dinner is a $3 donation.

Praise Band/Worship Team

Practice is held each Sunday in the youth room from 4:00-5:30 p.m. If you play an instrument or like to sing, join us. This team will also be expanding to help plan and organize new worship experiences for our youth worship time on Sunday nights.

All 4 Him

Our drama team meets every Thursday night from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Youth Room to plan dramas, practice, and video tape performances. The dramas are used in worship on Sunday mornings and are expanding into the youth services, too.

Tech Team

The tech team is currently meeting every Thursday from 5:30-7:00pm. The Tech Team is looking for additional members. They are working on sound, video presentation, video editing, and is working with the drama team to record performances as needed.

Mission Team

The mission team is working on mission projects and is leading the youth ministry in these projects. This team also helps plan our summer mission trips. If you like to serve or help others, this is the place for you.
